As the coronavirus cases in India are increasing another concern has grappled the country's medical expert's. A number of asymptomatic COVID-19 cases have comes to light. An asymptomatic COVID-19 person does not show any symptoms of the disease. This makes it hard to detect such cases, but asymptomatic COVID-19 carriers might unknowingly infect other. "Dr. Raman gangakhedkar" (deputy director, ICMR) says "If 100 people get infected (by COVID-19). Then 80 people out of it, might not show any symptoms. They are asymptomatic but if we test them (for COVID-19), their test may come positive". In early April, China had reported 1,541 asymptomatic cases. Which could have triggered a second wave of the outbreak.

Asymptomatic COVID-19

Asymptomatic cases could be a major reason for sporadic cluster outbreak. 80% of all coronavirus cases are either asymptomatic or with mild symptoms. Lav Agarwal (joint secretary, ministry of health) says "this is as per the analysis we did of cases across the world. Around 15% cases convert into severe cases.that might need oxygen support. 5% of cases of may have possibility to convert into critical cases". Last week, 186 asymptomatic cases of coronavirus were detected in Delhi.

On 19 April 2020, Arvind kejriwal (chief minister, Delhi) says "on 18 april 2020. We got a result of 736 tests, out of which 186 were positive. That means 25% were positive cases, which is a lot. All 186 cases are asymptomatic. They showed no symptoms and were unware  that they are the carries coronavirus". In other states such as Rajasthan, Karnataka and Kerala similar cases have been reported.
