Bala saheb Thackeray, in full balasaheb Keshav Thackeray, (born January 23, 1926, pune, Maharashtra state, India - died November 17, 2012, Mumbai), India journalist and politician, founder of the shiv Sena ("army of shiv") political party, and advocate of a strong pro-hindu policy in india. The party's activities are mainly concerned in the state of Maharashtra in the western part of India. Bal Thackeray opposed the migration and increasing influence of the non-marathis in the city of Mumbai. He campaigned against it through his journal marmik, which was a cartoon weekly. He plunged into politics to further this motto and formed a new party in 1966 called the shiv Sena.

Bal Thackeray always speak from heart and never through about his word relacting in future. Bal Thackeray having 4 elder sister's. After forming shiv sena, samna journal also started by Bala saheb which is not famous like marmik.

In starting Bala saheb rising voice for Maraties(local people). In 1995 with BJP (bharatiya janta party) shiv Sena made government in Maharashtra. Bala saheb give party name shiv Sena by inspiring the first  Hindu king chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj which is also from shivneri Fort(Maharashtra). Bala saheb Alway sit on chair which is made by silver metal. They always give open argument to its opponents, and having interest in beer. Daud ibraham also not not stelled down in kingdom  of Bala seheb. His supporters had distoryed the 16th century babri masjid of("mosque of babur") in Ayodhya, uttar pradesh.
