France become a constitutional monarchy

The national assembly completed the draft of the constitution in 1791. Its main object was limited power of the monarch. The power insteaded to one person, it separated by the legislature, executive and judiciary. This made France constitutional monarchy.

French became a constitutional monarchy

The constitution of 1791 vested the power to make laws in the national assembly, which was indirectly elected. That is citizens voted for a group of electors, who in turn chose the assembly. However, not all people have right to vote. Only above 25 year old men who payed tax of 3 day labour wages would allow to vote and there in active citizens. Other, women and other citizens come in passive citizens. Those are payed maximum tax, they belong to member of the assembly.

The constitution began with a declaration of the right of man and citizens. Right such as right to life, freedom of speech, freedom of opinion, equality before law, were established as "natural and inalienable". right, that is , they belong to each human by birth and no one could taken away. It was duty of estate to protect each citizens natural rights.
