According to Hindustan times, Sushant used to call Karan and wanted to talk to him several times. Karan himself gave his number and told him to call him when "Kai Po Che" was released but Karan never bothered to receive his calls, and lastly, when Sushant called him, karan's manager picked up the call.

But why did Sushant call Karan for many times? The report says that Sushant singned a film under dharma productions but later, he was rejected from the film. Karan's manager also said that Karan only works with star kids and A-grade actors. That rejection was heartbreaking for sushant. Because, for karan's film, Sushant rejected Sanjay Leela bhansali's big-budget film "ram Leela".
